RAJOURI, July 6: A 19-year-old boy was killed after he was knocked down by a Tata Mobile vehicle near Rajal in Nowshera area of district Rajouri this morning.
The incident took place at around 9.30 am when Amit Kumar, son of Babu Ram, resident of Java village was moving along the road. A Tata Mobile vehicle (No. JK11B/8602) which came from back side knocked him down near the bridge at Rajal, causing serious head injuries. He was killed on the spot.
While the people of the area rushed to the site, the driver jumped out of vehicles and ran away. The police party also arrived there. The vehicle was seized and dead body was shifted to Nowshera hospital. The police has registered a case in this connection.
