Yogi Govt should help weavers: Priyanka

LUCKNOW, Aug 28:
Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Friday reminded Uttar Pradesh’s Yogi government that a letter written by her about waiving the electricity bill of the weavers facing economic crisis during the lockdown, has not been taken into cognizance yet. In a tweet, she said, “I had written a letter to the UP government on May 13 to waive the electricity bill of the weavers and provide every weaver family with Rs 12,000 to help them in the crisis arising out of the lockdown.”
Further, the Congress leader said, “In view of the poor condition of the weavers, the government should take these steps immediately so that this art can be saved.” (UNI)
