YLA highlights demands

JAMMU, Dec 29: Young Lawyers Association (YLA) deputation led by its president Advocates Rohan Nanda and Wahid Kassana met Davinder Singh Rana, Political Advisor to Chief Minister and apprised him about various demands of the young lawyers.
While speaking, Rohan Nanda urged Davinder Singh Rana to provide interest free loan to the young lawyers so that they could maintain their office libraries.
He said that young lawyers could stand and practice easily if Government helps them for maintenance of their office and library initially.
Advocate Wahid Kassana demanded relaxation in the age for those lawyers, who have already applied for the Prosecuting Officer posts and the same notification has been withdrawn by the Home Department and demanded the posts of POs be re-advertised as soon as possible.
Davinder Singh Rana gave a patient hearing and assured proper help to the lawyers, who want to establish themselves in this profession. He also gave on the spot directions to Director Entrepreneurship Development Institute to take measurers to cover young lawyers in Sher-e-Kashmir Employment and Welfare Programme for Youths. He also assured for re-advertisement of posts of POs after holding talks with the Home Department.
Among others present were Advocates Amit Gupta, vice president, Sayed Nadeem Hamdani, Ravinder Sharma, Wajat Kazmi, MS Qureshi, Mudassir Zargar, etc.
