YCET organizes FDP on AI

JAMMU, July 10: Computer Science and Engineering Department of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology in collaboration with Institutions Innovation Council (IIC) organized five days “Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP)” on “Artificial Intelligence ( AI )”.
The resource persons are Dr. Manish Kumar Jain, International Corporate Trainer, Dr Rizwan Shaikh, Professor and Ex-Dean JSPM Group of Institutions, University of Pune, Dr GR Kanaga Chidambaresan, PhD (Information  and Communication Engineering) Chennai, Dr R Anand, Assistant Professor, Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru, Dr N Karthikeyan, Professor and HOD, Syed Ammal Engineering College Chennai.
Lectures on the fields like Neural Networks, Deep Learning, Internet of Things, Block Chain and Augmented Reality will be delivered.
In this FDP, 540 faculty members across the country took part. Faculty not only from India but also from Abroad (2 from Dhaka and 1 each from Muscat and Oman) are participating in this FDP.
E-Certificates will be distributed to the participants.
The FDP started with welcome address by Er Dinesh Gupta, HOD Computer Science and Engineering Department and also the convenor of this FDP. He thanks all the participants, resource persons, special guest and chief guest Dipan Sahu for their gracious presence.
The introductory talk was given by Er Loveneesh Talwar, Coordinator.
Special guest Er Vivek Mahajan, Principal, Government Polytechnic, Ramban in his inaugural address said that the new course should be a platform to introduce AI for everyone.
Dr Dipan Sahu, National Coordinator, IIC, in his keynote address said that there is an increasing need for intelligent and accurate decision-making across industries. This has led to an exponential growth in the adoption of AI and ML technologies.
Prof (Dr) AK Srivastava, Director, YCET addressed faculty members and stressed that these FDPs in lockdown period will help faculty members to move forward and bring lot of changes in attitudes towards teaching and learning process.
