YCET organises placement drive

JAMMU, Aug 3: Campus placement drive was held at Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) here which brought academia-industry interface for the students of YCET and Institute of Management Sciences (IMS).
The drive was organized for all final year B. Tech students of YCET and final year MBA students of IMS wherein renowned e-commerce companies like Flipkart, Adobe and Shinning Star participated.
The job profiles offered by the companies included HR Recruiter, Technical Support Executive, Customer Care Executive and E-Commerce Customer Service Representatives.
A total of 156 students from both the colleges participated in the event.
The selection process included aptitude tests, group discussions, personal interviews and telephonic interviews.
Seven students were finally recruited in the drive.
A handout stated that all the selected students will get package in the range of Rs. 2 lakh to 2.4 lakh per annum depending upon their performance after training. The five selected students in Flip Kart were Pallavi Jasrotia and Danyal Bhatt of CSE Department, Shubham Sharma of Electrical Department, Karan Dev Singh of Mechanical Department and Shivani Raina of IMS. One student Ehtisham Khan of Mechanical Engineering Department was selected in Adobe and another student Shweta Raina got selected in Shinning Star.
Senior Manager of the company Puneet Kumar Sarangal and HR Coordinator Daizy Uttama hailed the efforts put by the college in nurturing the young minds for a better tomorrow.
Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions (JGEI) Jammu Chairman, Er. Vidhi S. Singh Jamwal; Managing Director, Renu Bangroo and Director YCET Prof. (Dr.) A.K Srivastava congratulated the selected students.
The drive was conducted by Er. Dinesh Gupta, Head Training and Placement Cell of YCET.
