KALAKOTE, July 15: One day convention of Youth Congress and NSUI activists was held at Town Hall here under the chairmanship of Er Wasim Kohli, president Youth Congress, Kalakote Assembly, who also presided over the function.
Election Commissioner, All India NSUI, Iftikhar Ahmad was chief guest while Sahil Raina, District president NSUI, Rajouri and Ajaz Kataria, Assembly vice-president, Youth Congress, were the guests of honour.
The motive of the convention was to educate the YC workers and NSUI activists about the achievements of UPA Government and various Central and State sponsored welfare schemes.
In his presidential address, Wasim Kohli asked the Congress and NSUI activists to create awareness among the people about various welfare schemes like NREGA and IAY.
Iftikhar Ahmad also stressed to create awareness about various Acts like RTI, RTE and RTF among the masses. He also emphasized workers to work for weaker sections of the society to fulfill the vision of Rahul Gandhi.
Sahil Raina and Ajaz Kataria also spoke on the occasion.
