Yatra crosses 2.75 lakh

JAMMU, Aug 8: Only 659 pilgrims today paid obeisance to Lord Shiva at holy cave shrine of Shri Amarnath Ji in South Kashmir Himalayas of Anantnag district.
With this, total number of pilgrims, who had darshan at the shrine on 42nd day of the yatra, has reached 2,75,125.
From Jammu, a small batch of 237 pilgrims left Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas base camp in an escorted convoy of 14 vehicles for base camps of Nunwan in Pahalgam and Baltal for onward pilgrimage.
The 60-day annual yatra commended on June 28 and will conclude on August 26 coinciding with Sharavan Purnima and Raksha Bandhan.
