BARAMULLA, Mar 18: The District Development Commissioner, Yasha Mudgal today inaugurated Apna Panchayat Ghar at Dangerpora village of Baramulla today.
Assistant Commissioner Development and District Panchayat Officer were present on the occasion.
District Panchayat Officer informed DDC that the Panchayat Ghar has been constructed during a record time of one year at a cost of Rs. 20 lakh. Panchs, Sarpanchs and a large number of people were present during the inaugural function.
Meanwhile, the DDC took a comprehensive review of the drainage system and water logging in the village. On the occasion, the DDC directed concerned officers to repair breakage or damage to the drains. She said that repair of lanes, drainage system and footpaths in the villages should be prioritized under MGNREGA, so that the people don’t face any inconvenience.
