JAMMU, June 11: A meeting of Welfare Society Guru Nanak Nagar (WSGNK) Jammu has held today to discuss the pathetic condition of roads, streets and drains, which have been totally ignored by the Government.
The speakers pointed out that although good roads have been re-laid in the adjoining vicinities but even the main entrance and life line roads of Nanak Nagar are full of broken patches and went unattended.
They said that there are two MLCs, two Vice Chairman of public bodies, one MLA cum Speaker and many political, social and prominent person living in the area but still the development and maintenance of the area is like that of third world.
The meeting appealed the concerned authorities to break their silence in this concern and come to the rescue of the people.
Those who attended the meeting were Balwinder Singh Rinku (president), AS Khera (chairman cum legal advisor), Ajay Mahajan (vice president), Sanjeev Talwar (general secretary), Randeep Singh (press secretary), Raju Katyal (secretary), Jatinder Kumar (cashier) and others.
