Writers interact with Veteran author of Gojri language from PoK

SRINAGAR, Oct 2: An interaction programme with veteran author of Gojri language Rana Fazal Hussain from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, was held here at the headquarter of  Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.
A galaxy  of writers  of Kashmiri, Urdu, Gojri , Pahari and Punjabi language interacted with the guest  author who  is on tour to J&K.
Rana Fazal was migrated from Rajouri in India to Mirpur area of POK,  in 1947.
Ch Zaffar Khatana Vice Chairman of  State Advisory Board for the Development of Gujjars and Bakerwal presided over the function while Secretary Academy Dr Aziz Hajni and Chief Editor of Academy Dr Javaid Rahi was in the presidium.
While replying the questions during interaction programme Rana Fazal Hussain said that both the sides of J&K share same Culture, languages, traditions  and ethnic values. He said that our cohesive Culture is centuries old and it has a great  power to bind us and build us.
He stressed upon the  writers, scholars, and intellectuals of all languages who are living either sides of the border  to play a significant role for peace building  and long lasting prosperity of the region.
Earlier, Dr. Aziz Hajni stated that Academy is holding a State level Gojri Literary and Cultural Conference in Srinagar in the ongoing  month. He said that the Academy will re print all the titles of Gojri which were washed away during last year flood. He asked Gujjar Board for financial help of the Academy  to run interstate Cultural exchange programme in Gojri.
Dr Javaid Rahi stated that Rana Fazal Hussain is an eminent  author and has written  more than 25 books in Gojri language. He said that on demand the Academy has already  published his all the work in a book titled “Kulyat-e-Rana Fazal” comprising of 1200 pages in two volumes.
In his presidential speech Ch Zaffar Khatana stated that Gujjar Board will give all help to Academy to organise an International Gojri Conference in the State. He said that Government is committed to develop Gojri language and Culture and funds will be provided to Academy to boost its all endovoure for this tribal language.
He lauded Baba-e-Gojri Rana Fazal Hussain for his extra ordinary work  in Gojri language.
Those who participated in the discussion included eminent writers Farooq Nazki, Iqbal Azeem, Mian Sarfarz Ahmed, Mian Gulzar Ahmed,  S D Bajad, Ghulam Hussain Zia, G R Hasrat Gadda, Dr. MirzaFarooq, M Ashraf Tak, Abdul salam Kousari and others.
