JAMMU, Sept 18: West Pakistani Hindu Refugee Front (WPHRF), Jammu today accused Congress party and National Conference for the present miseries of West Pakistan refugees.
While deliberating on the issue of Permanent Residentship (PR) to West Pakistani Hindu Refugees residing in Jammu region of the State, during a meeting with Shashi Verma, president, Vishwakarma Sabha at Vishwakarma Mandir, Jammu, Madan Lal Dubgotra, president, WPHRF, Jammu, expressed that WPHR were migrated to Jammu during 1947 due to partition of India and Pakistan on the basis of two Religion Theory. These Hindus refugees mostly belong to SC and OBC category with large number of Vishwakarma Community people.
Hence, the Madan Dubgotra appealed the president, Vishwakarma Sabha to extend maximum help and support to the Front so as to speed up the struggle for rights of PR to WPHRs.
He also brought out that the Bill for right to PR to WPHRs presented by the BJP in the State Assembly during last session was opposed by NC and the Congress jointly. As such, he appealed the Vishwakarma Sabha to extend their complete support to bring it to the notice of general public, the Anti Hindu ideology of Congress and NC.
Had the Congress party supported the PR Bill, it could have been passed and the WPHRs could have felt a great relief and end of the grievances of being Non-resident of J&K.
He also expressed that, on the other hand, the Congress Party had supported the Bills protecting the PR status of Muslims from J&K migrated to Pakistan during 1947, which also expose the attitude of Congress Party towards Hindus. “Preserving PR status of Muslims residing permanently in Pakistan since 1947, has not only inspired militancy in the Kashmir valley but also responsible for the present situation in the J&K State”, he added.
