*University of Patanjali celebrates Foundation Day

HARIDWAR, Mar 2: University of Patanjali here today celebrated its foundation day with fervour and gaiety.
Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan was chief guest on this occasion while Higher Education Minister of Uttarakhand, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat was special guest.
Welcoming the guests and others Acharya Balkrishan, VC of University of Patanjali talked about the varsity and other organisations run by Patanjali.
Addressing the gathering on this occasion, the chief guest, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that University of Patanjali will serve as a resolution centre for the problems, conflicts and other issues of the world.
“Be it medical or education, Patanjali is contributing positively in every sector,” he said.
Dr. Rawat further stated that Patanjali has taken the control of Bhartiya Shiksha Board and it will soon make the world aware about the richness of traditional knowledge of India.
“Today the world is in dire need of Yoga and Ayurveda and the University of Patanjali will soon emerge as a global varsity by educating the world on such vital subjects,” he maintained adding that all such collective efforts will soon empower India to mentor the entire world to emerge as ‘Vishwa Guru’.
Swami Ramdev, founder of University of Patanjali said that knowledge of our ancestors is our guiding force which is taking the varsity forward on the way of progress.
“Time is not so far when we will rise above the Cambridge and Oxford and the world will follow India in all the fields,” Swami Ramdev continued.
Sports and cultural activities were also organised on this occasion and the winners were given medals.
Prominent among others present on this occasion were working president of Bhartiya Shiksha Board, Dr. N.P Singh, Organiser of the event, Prof. Sadhvi Devpriya, Chancellors Prof. Mayank Kumar Aggarwal, Distance Education Director, Dr. Satyendra Mittal, secretary Alok Kumar Singh, Swami Arshdev, Patanjali Ayurvedic College Principal Prof. Anil Kumar and others.
