JAMMU, July 31: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production celebrated “World Breast Feeding Week” here today.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr Anju Dogra, Registrar SMGS Hospital in presence of JK Raina, Freelancer Producer Director Films, VK Magotra, former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India and Dr Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director, J&K Health Department.
The songs presented during the programme were written and directed by ML Dogra, former Assistant Director of song and Drama Division, Ministry of Information Broadcasting, Government of India.
BLSKS will also present programmes at various blocks and villages of Jammu district including at Mathwar, Raipur, Seri Pandita, Amb Gharota, Galali, Domana, Bathera, Chandiya from tomorrow to August 7.
The musical play, dances and skits presented were highly appreciated by the audience and dignitaries.
Earlier, the welcome address was presented by VK Magotra, MD, BLSKS, while KK Joshi, Vice Chairman BLSKS explained the aims and objectives of the programme.
The singers, musician, actors and students of Music and Computer Institute who performed in the programme were Usha Handoo, Rajni Gupta, Raju Bajgal, Chahat Chadha, Kuldeep Raj, Bindia Arora, Mukesh Arora.
In the end, Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks.
