JAMMU, May 5: One-day workshop on “Radio Personality” was held in PG Department of Home Science, Government College for Women (GCW), Parade (Jammu).
The workshop was aimed at giving students an insight into the basics of radio industry and the kind of qualities one need to become a radio personality.
Zulfkar Ahmad, Broadcast skills trainer of International fame was the resource person for the workshop while Dr Hemla Aggarwal, principal of the college, was the chief guest on the occasion.
The workshop started with the introductory session, in which Dr Aruna Dubey, HoD, P G Home Science, informed the students about the importance of the workshop and the schedule for the day.
The main key elements of the first technical session were Radio as a medium, Qualities of a radio personality, how to become a radio personality, diction and voice modulation.
In the second technical session the students were trained on how to face the interviews and develop curriculum vitae for the current and the future job opportunities.
While speaking on the occasion, the chief guest appreciated the efforts of the department for holding such workshops to improve the communication skills and personality of the students, which will help them in their future endeavors.
