JAMMU, Jan 23: Work Supervisors’ Association (WSA) today framed an adhoc committee to strengthen the fight for the rights of work supervisors.
The adhoc committee comprising 21 members was constituted during a meeting of the association held today here at Press Club. A large number of work supervisors from various departments of all the districts of the Jammu province participated in the meeting, wherein the previous committee was dissolved and the adhoc committee was framed.
Various problems and issues of work supervisors were discussed in the meeting. Many important decisions were also taken related to the association. The meeting unanimously elected Mohd Tariq Shah as president as well as secretary.
The president was apprised of the genuine demands like the issue of ‘ One Work; One Salary’ implementation of rule of “Defined Duty”, promotion avenues for work supervisors and new recruitment.
The newly elected president assured all the members of the Association that their demands shall be strongly forwarded to higher level. “The fight for the rights of work supervisors shall be continued further and see no barrier”, he said and assured that their journey to fight for their rights will be taken to almost all the possible levels be it higher authority or even the court.
“The cadre of work supervisor shall be made alive again by achieving their rights as well as through the recruitment of more number of work supervisors”, he said. He further assured the members that the election for the president shall be held as early as possible in the coming days.
