JAMMU, May 16: President, Mahila Wing of People’s Democratic Party, Vijaya Dogra said that Mehbooba’s sincere initiatives to improve governance in the State have raised a hope among people of becoming the rightful stake holders of developmental activities, welfare- measures, economic development, cultural revival and political stability.
Vijaya, while addressing the meeting of Mahila workers of Ward No 18 of Jammu West, organized by Zonal president Puneet Jamwal, said that women empowerment is the main focus of State Government under the dynamic and able leadership of Mehbooba Mufti. She said that women have always held a special place in PDP and Mehbooba Mufti is symbol of public confidence in the females in particular to lead the society to new lights.
Dogra called for an active participation of women in State’s rebuilding and appealed them to take advantage of specific reservations in institutions. She said that PDP will ensure that with public support the party will fulfill the agenda set by visionary leader Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and his dream of an ideal, peaceful prosperous Jammu & Kashmir is realized with hard work and honest approach.
Dogra said that the initiatives of Mehbooba Mufti led Government will be going long way to land the State in peace and prosperity. The people friendly measures taken in the last one and half month, including empowerment of women now speak of Mehbooba’s commitment of compassion and popular leader. She asked the party workers to reach out to people and expand party base.
Senior PDP leaders Daman Bhasin, R K Bali and others also addressed the gathering.
