JAMMU, Aug 12: In connection with Rakshabandhan, the festival of bonding between brothers and sisters, members of Women Club ‘Meri Pehchaan’ today tied Rakhis on the wrists of Police and CRPF men.
The members of Women Club, led by its founder Sandhya Gupta, visited R S Pura Police Station and celebrated the festival of Rakshabandhan with jawans and officers of Police. Women from Arnia also joined the occasion and tied Rakhi to CRPF jawans and policemen.
Speaking on the occasion, Dy SP, R S Pura, Saurav Parasher said that such initiatives motivate the security forces who have been protecting the nation. SHO Rajendra Singh took active initiative in organizing the event.
Sandhya Gupta, founder of the Women Club, said that our brave brothers in CRPF and Police should not feel alone at this time of celebration.
Gifts and sweets were also distributed during this event. Social activist Jeetendra Singh and some prominent were also present on the occasion.
