JAMMU, May 9: A meeting of Women Cell All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) was held here today under the leadership of its president Mrs Veena Gurtoo in which various problems being faced by the women folk of the community were discussed.
Addressing the meeting Mrs Gurtoo demanded financial support for handicraft artists of the community so that they can promote their art and earn their livelihood and support their families.
She accused the Government of its failure in settling the problems of the community and termed the rehabilitation policy nothing except an eye wash.
Ruby Mattoo secretary of the Cell demanded jobs for the unemployed ladies of the community while Sarla Raina organizer demanded old age pension for those migrant women who have no source of income.
