JAMMU, July 12: Women achievers from different walks of life were awarded in The Great Women Achievers Award Functions, organized here today by `The Performers’ a socio cultural organization by prominent socialite Dr Jyotsana Jain from Delhi.
Pratima Singh, painter from Lucknow, Bollywood actress Preeti Saproo, Mrs India Universe Daljeet Kaur, Mrs India Meenu Mahajan, SHO Anita Katal, Prof Renu Nanda, Asha Gupta ( mother of martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan), entrepreneur Parvesh Kapoor and Fashion designer Vineeta Sehgal were among the ladies who were honoured on the occasion .
MLA Aijaz Ahmed Mir and Nirmal Kamal were the special guests while Sohail Qazmi presided over the function.
President of ‘The performers’, Urja Singh said that it was her own way to promote and honour the women of repute.
On this occasion, Betiya Foundation National selected its team for Jammu Kashmir and Urja Singh was selected as the president.
