JAMMU, Jan 12: The dead body of a woman was found hanging today at her residence in Chhanni Rama area on city outskirts.
“Poonam Devi (30) wife of Ram Babu Sah, resident of Bihar, was found hanging this evening by her husband at their rented accommodation in Chhanni Rama area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Post Narwal,” Police sources said.
Sources said Ram Babu rushed Poonam to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where doctors declared her as brought dead. The body of the deceased was sent for postmortem while Narwal Police had initiated inquest proceeding in the case.
