UDHAMPUR, Apr 7: A young woman received burn injuries allegedly while cooking food on kerosene stove at her house in Adarsh Colony Udhampur.
The victim, identified as Anita Devi (25) wife of Darmash of Ahmedabad, presently putting up in a rented house at Adarsh Colony, received 50 percent burn injuries and she was rushed to District Hospital Udhampur. In view of her critical condition, she was later referred to GMC Hospital Jammu.
Meanwhile, an 18 year old youth attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in village Kirmu in Ramnagar, late last night.
He was identified as Mukhtyar, son of Abdul Rahman of Assar Bagar Doda, presently putting up at Kirmu Ramnagar. He has been referred to District Hospital Udhampur while cause behind provocation could not be ascertained.
