JAMMU, Aug 10: Police today arrested a woman narcotic smuggler along with three kilograms of ganja from Rajeev Nagar Chowk, falling under the jurisdiction of Narwal Police Post.
As per police sources, a team from Narwal Police Post laid a naka and intercepted a woman on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered three kilograms of ganja and arrested the narcotic smuggler, who has been identified as Banno, wife of Sham Lal of Chandigarh, presently residing in Rajeev Nagar, Narwal.
A case under FIR number 150/14 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Trikuta Nagar Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Narwal SI Inayat Ali and SHO Trikuta Nagar Police Station Chanchal Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq, SP South Rahul Malik and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
