REASI, Jan 8: A mother of five children killed her husband after a quarrel by hitting him on the head with a stone, following which she was arrested, here today.
As per police spokesman, on January 1 this year, Chassana police received information that a dead body was lying under suspicious circumstances at Thalyar.
After getting information, police party rushed to the spot and recovered the dead body, he said, adding that the deceased was identified as Mohammad Qasim (43), son of Mian of Badi Banna.
A case under FIR Number 1/18 under Section 302 RPC was registered at Police Station Chassana and investigation started, he added.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted by SDPO Mahore Majeeb-ur Rehman comprising SHO Chassana SI Ali Imran, Incharge Police Post Tulli SI Mohammad Qasim and the investigation was started under the supervision of SSP Reasi Tahir Sajad Bhat, the spokesman stated.
Following an investigation, his wife Sabza Begum was arrested, he said, adding that during interrogation she confessed to the crime and said that they had frequent quarrels over domestic matters.
“The woman hit her husband a stone repeatedly on the head outside their house after an altercation, resulting in his death”, the spokesman informed.
