POONCH, Jan 27: A woman was killed after she was hit with a bullet ‘fired accidentally’ by her husband from a rifle belonging to a relative VDC member in Upper Murrah area of Surankote in Poonch.
Official sources said that a Police team rushed to the spot after receiving the information of the matter and arrested her husband namely Nassar Ahmed son of Nazir Hussain.
Sources said that though investigation will reveal the facts but preliminary it is being said that this incident happed when the rifle was being cleaned and fire went off accidentally.
Deceased was identified as Rubina Kouser (30), wife of Nassar Ahmed, resident of Upper Murrah in Surankote.
A senior Police Officer when contacted said that investigation has been started after registering a case in Police Station Surankote, “weapon has been seized, and the facts are being ascertained”, he added.
