Woman killed, another injured after hit by car

JAMMU, Dec 25: A woman was killed and another one injured after a car hit them in Pounichak area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, two women pedestrians were hit and injured by a speedy Tata Bolt car bearing registration number JK02BL-1619 at Bhagatpur in Pounichak area when they were returning after attending a religious gathering.
He said the mishap occurred at around 4:30 this evening and driver of the car himself in his car shifted the injured women namely Neelam Devi (45) wife of Sham Lal and Sunita Devi (40) wife of Joginder Kumar, both residents of Sajalpur (Marh), to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where Neelam succumbed to her injuries while Sunita’s condition was stated to be stable.
“The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the Hospital while a case in this connection was registered at police station Domana and further investigation started,” the official added.
