JAMMU, Dec 25: Jagti Tenement Committee Soan Kashmir Front has demanded hike in monthly cash relief to Kashmiri migrants from Rs. 13,000 to 25,000 per family as cost of essential commodities has increased.
Front leader, Shadi Lal Pandita while protesting at Jagti along with others claimed that their protest has entered day 85 today but none from the government came to meet them.
He also demanded a government job to those families which have no family member in government job.
A new package of 20,000 posts for unemployed youths was his another demand and he claimed that there are many migrant Kashmiri Pandit (KP) families which are not able to teach their children beyond matriculation so the government should announce at least 5,000 Class IV posts for such youth.
Pandita also said that KP youth wants to join police force and he appealed to the Director General of Police to start recruitment drive for KP youth at Jagti.
He further claimed that BJP government has only deceived KPs but did nothing for them.
