JAMMU, July 13: A woman was killed today after hit by a car in RS Pura area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the woman namely Sweety, wife of Joginder Kumar, resident of Tinday Kalan (RS Pura), was killed on the spot today at about 7 PM when a Wagon-R car (registration number JK02BR-6018) being driven in a negligent manner by driver, Rakesh Singh, son of Romesh Singh of Akal (Jammu), hit her at Tinday Kalan.
He said body of the deceased woman was shifted to mortuary room of Government Hospital, RS Pura for post mortem while RS Pura police had arrested the accused driver, seized his vehicle and registered a case against him.
