KISHTWAR, Aug 11: A woman hailing from Tagood Chatroo allegedly committed suicide by jumping into river Chenab in Bhadarkoot area.
As per police sources, a 33-year-old woman identified as Gita Devi, wife of Satish Kumar, a resident of Tagood, Chatroo allegedly committed suicide by jumping into river Chenab in Bhadarkoot area today.
After getting information, police rushed to the spot and divers were pressed into service to trace the body of the woman.
The body of the woman was not fished out till last reports were compiled.
A case in this regard has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
