KISHTWAR, May 14: A woman was injured after being attacked by a bear in forest area near her residence at Neera Rahalthal area here.
As per police sources, a 32-year-old woman identified as Ram Piyari, wife of Jewan Lal of Neera Rahalthal was collecting firewood in the forest area near her house, when a bear attacked her.
The woman received serious injuries in the bear attack and raised hue and cry and the people rushed to the spot. On seeing the people, the bear ran away towards forest area.
The seriously injured woman was shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar, where her condition was stated to be stable, when reports last came in.
