DODA, May 14: An enforcement team of Legal Metrology Department, Doda under the supervision of Assistant Controller Legal Metrology Doda alongwith Inspector Legal Metrology Bhaderwah conducted market inspections at Bhaderwah and Doda towns during the 2nd week of May 2015.
During the inspection the earring traders were challened for violating the provisions of the J&K Standards of Weights and Measures (Enforcement) (Amendment) Act/Rules. A fine of Rs 3300 was imposed on earring traders.
Further the department directed all the traders to use only stamped and verified Weights and Measures instruments for business transactions and ensure that all the package commodities sold to the consumers must bear MRP, Package Date, Net Contents and Consumer Care Number.
