JAMMU, July 23: A 21-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at Preet Nagar area of the winter capital.
As per reports, 21-year-old Geeta Devi, wife of Ram Lakhan, resident of Preet Nagar, allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence.
Family members shifted her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared her as brought dead.
However, reason behind such extreme step could not be ascertained yet, while a case under relevant sections stands registered at concerned police station.
Meanwhile, one person allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence.
A youth identified as Satish Kumar, resident of Akalpur allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his home.
Noticing him unconscious, family members shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he failed to respond to the treatment and died.
A case has been registered at concerned police station and investigations started to ascertain the reason.
