NOWSHERA, Mar 22: A 50-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging at her residence in Sunderbani area while dead body of man was recovered from a nallah in Kalakote area of district Rajouri today.
Police sources said that Soma Devi, wife of Subash Chander, resident of Siot allegedly committed suicide by hanging at her residence today. The neighbours informed police and a police party led by SHO Dharamsal Irfan Wani reached the spot and shifted the body to SDH Sunderbani for postmortem. Later, it was handed over to the family. The police registered a case and started investigation under Section 174 CrPC.
Meanwhile, the dead body of a villager was recovered from a nallah at Baji Morh in Kalakote area today. Some people noticed the body and informed police. SHO Kalakote Raghubir Sharma along with some cops reached the spot. After examining spot the body was shifted to local hospital for postmortem. The deceased was later identified as Mishri (55), son of Hasnet, resident of Reasi. The police registered a case and launched investigation. It said that possibility of murder can not be ruled out.
