JAMMU, June 4: A young girl allegedly tried to end her life by hanging self in Kanachak area while a man received serious injuries in a road mishap in Bajalta area of Jammu.
According to police sources, a 19-year-old girl namely Shaddu wife of Nazir Ahmed of Rajpura (Jammu) alleged made an abortive attempt on her life by hanging self at her home with the help of a rope and tree. However, his husband saved her timely and shifted her to Government Medical College (GMC), where her condition was stated to be critical.
Meanwhile, a pedestrian namely Gourav Sharma (34) son of Parbhakar Sharma of New Plot (Jammu) was hit and severely injured by an unknown speeding vehicle at Bajalta. He was also shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment.
In both cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
