JAMMU, Sept 9: A woman was today found hanging at her temporary residence in Chack Bhalwal area falling under the jurisdiction of police station Gharota.
According to a police spokesperson, the woman identified as Geeta Devi (22) wife of Rohit, a resident of UP was found hanging at about 1 pm at her room in the premises of a poultry farm, where she along with his husband was staying for quite some time.
After getting the information, Gharota police immediately reached the spot and shifted the body to the mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
Later, after completing all medico-legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to her family members for last rites. In this connection, a case under relevant Sections has been registered and further investigation started.
