JAMMU, Sept 17: A 28-year-old woman ended her life allegedly by hanging at the residence of her in-laws here at Phallain Mandal area today.
Lakshmi Kumari wife of Ramesh of Makwal, Phallain Mandal, had previously lodged a written complaint against her in-laws, alleging domestic violence but the matter was sorted out amicably between the two parties then.
Today, the woman was found hanging with the ceiling fan at her in-laws’ residence around 12:40 PM.
Police have shifted the body of the deceased woman to the mortuary of the Government Medical College Jammu and started inquest proceedings to further probe the matter.
