Woman drug peddler among two arrested with ganja, cannabis

JAMMU, Sept 16: Woman drug peddler among two arrested with ganja and cannabis.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Kanachack Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a woman, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 1.5 kilogram ganja from the possession of the woman and arrested him.
The arrested lady has been identified as Phool Devi, wife of Jagan Lal Sahu, a resident of Chattisgarh, at present.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Post Chowk Chabutra during patrol duty at Circular Road apprehended a pedestrian along with 50 grams of cannabis.
The accused has been identified as Anshu Verma, son of Subash Chander of Mishriwala, District Jammu.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Kanachack and Pacca Danga Police Stations and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
