JAMMU, Apr 23: A young woman died today in mysterious circumstances in RS Pura area of city outskirts.
“The deceased woman has been identified as Poonam Devi (22) wife of Arjun Singh, resident of Seer (RS Pura),” a police official said, adding the woman reportedly died of poisoning but it is not clear whether she herself consumed some poisonous substance or was given by someone.
The official said that the body of the deceased was sent for postmortem while inquest proceeding in this connection was initiated at police station RS Pura.
