NOWSHERA, Apr 20: A young woman was killed after a wall of a water tank collapsed at village Talla near Balshama in Sunderbani Sub Division of district Rajouri today.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place when 30-year-old Monika Sharma, wife of Suraj Parkash, resident of Talla was washing clothes near the tank at her residence. The tank was full of water and one of the walls of the tanks suddenly collapsed and fell on her. She sustained serious head injuries and was removed from the debris by the family members.
She was rushed to Sunderbani hospital where she was declared as dead. The body of the deceased was handed over the family after postmortem. Dharamsal police has registered a case in this connection. It was said that the water tank was big and old one. It could not resist the pressure being full up to the brim and collapsed.
