SRINAGAR : A woman and her daughter were injured when an explosive device in a box exploded in the downtown city today, official sources said here.
They said one Ayesha and her daughter Arifa found a box on the roadside at Aali Masjid Eidgah in the downtown city.
However, when they opened the box, there was a blast resulting in injuries to both of them.
The injurd duo were admitted to hospital, they said adding the nature of the blast was not known.
A team of experts and police has rushed to the spot to investigate, they said.
