RAJOURI, Mar 29: A woman was crushed to death by a tractor trolley in Kotranka area while a youth attempted suicide in Darhal area of district Rajouri today.
A police spokesman said that a middle aged woman, Fatima Bi, wife of Late Siyan, resident of Gundi village in Khawas, was crushed to death on the spot by a tractor trolley at Jaglanoo, on Kotranka-Budhal Road. She was crossing road when the mishap took place. The driver escaped from the spot. The police has seized without number tractor trolley and registered a case against the driver. The body of the deceased was shifted to Kotranka hospital and later handed over to the family.
Meanwhile, 17-year-old, Hassan Nawaz, son of Abdul Hussain, resident of village, Madoon in tehsil, Darhal consumed some poisonous substance at home and became serious. The family members rushed him to hospital where doctors provided preliminary treatment and then referred him to District Hospital, Rajouri. The police has taken cognizance in this matter.
