KATHUA, Dec 27: An elderly woman was crushed to death under a truck at Barnoti on Jammu -Pathankote National Highway this afternoon.
The deceased was identified as 75-year-old Karan Kour, wife of Late Nirmal Singh of Barnoti area. The mishap took place when the woman was crossing the road. She was ran over by the truck bearing registration No. PB06B/ 2271, resulting her on the spot death. The driver escaped from the spot after leaving behind the truck while dead body of the deceased was sent to Kathua hospital. The police seized truck and registered a case in this connection.
