JAMMU, Apr 10: A married woman today allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Phallain Mandal area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a woman identified as Sunita Devi (25) wife of Gopal Singh, a resident of Makwal Camp in Phallain Mandal area consumed some poisonous at her residence.
In unconscious condition, the family members shifted her to a Government hospital in Swanjana. However, in view of her serious she was later shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where doctors declared her as brought dead.
After conducting postmortem, her body was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites.
The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter
