JAMMU, Oct 22: A woman died due to consumption of some poisonous substance in Miran Sahib area of city outskirts.
“The deceased has been identified as Surinder Kour (45) wife of Vikram Singh, resident of Khour Deonian (R S Pura),” a police official said.
He said the woman had reportedly some psychiatric issues under the influence of which she consumed some poisonous substance at her residence.
“The woman was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she was declared as brought dead by the doctors,” he added.
The official said that inquest proceeding has been initiated in this connection by Miran Sahib police while the body has been sent for postmortem.
