JAMMU, Feb 7: A woman allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in RS Pura.
According to a police spokesperson, the woman identified as Kanta Devi (60) wife of Kirpal Chand, a resident of Dhangery (RS Pura) was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu yesterday after she allegedly consumed some poisonous substance.
However, the woman expired today at about 12.30 am. After conducting post mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites.
The concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
