JAMMU, May 8: A woman today sustained serious burning injuries in a mysterious fire at her residence in Arnia area of city outskirts.
“Sukhwinder Kour (28) wife of Bikram Singh, a resident of Pindi Camp (Arnia) got about 80-90% burn injuries in a mysterious fire at her residence, this evening”, a police spokesman said, adding it is not clear immediately whether it was a suicide attempt or an accident.
He said that the woman was immediately taken to Government Hospital, Bishnah but in view of her serious condition she was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where her condition was stated to be stable till the last reports came in.
A case in this regard was registered at police station Arnia and further investigations were underway.
