JAMMU, Dec 2: A woman tried to end her life by setting self on fire after pouring kerosene oil on her body, at her residence in village Mawa in district Samba.
According to a police spokesperson, one Renu Devi (30), wife of Balkar Singh, a resident of Mawa, falling under the jurisdiction of police post, Rajpura in Samba district allegedly set herself afire late yesternight.
The family members immediately shifted Renu, who received 100 % burn injuries in the fire, to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where her condition is stated to be critical.
The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation.
