JAMMU, Sept 4: Two persons including a woman allegedly committed suicide at their respective residences.
As per police sources, Meena Kumari (25), wife of Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Sidhra, allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her residence.
Finding her unconscious, family members rushed her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors pronounced her as brought dead.
The body was handed over to family members for last rites after completing legal formalities.
Meanwhile, 22-year-old Raj Kumar, son of Baja Ram, a resident of JDA Colony, Bahu Fort allegedly ended his life by hanging himself at his residence.
Noticing him hanging, family members informed the police and the body was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where after conducting autopsy, the body was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at concerned police stations and investigation started to ascertain the reasons behind such extreme steps by them.
