JAMMU, Apr 18: Two persons including a woman were killed while one another was injured in accidents here today.
As per police sources, a labourer was killed after a tractor hit him near Aghore area. The deceased has been identified as Gyan Dass alias Pintoo, son of Mithai Lal of Madhya Pradesh, at present Aghore.
Meanwhile, a woman was killed while her husband was injured when their motorcycle was hit by a truck (trailer) near Simble Morh.
The deceased has been identified as Jogindero Devi, wife of Baldev Raj of Dindey Khurd Bishnah, while the injured as identified as Baldev Raj, son of late Ram Chand, a resident of Dindey Khurd Bishnah has been shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu.
Acting swiftly, a team from Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Inspector Mirza Sultan seized the truck (trailer) and arrested its driver.
The bodies of the deceased have been shifted to mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for post-mortem.
Gharota and Miran Sahib Police have taken cognizance in this regard.
