Withdrawal of age relaxation unfortunate for JK youth: JKPCC

JAMMU, Feb 6: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has strongly reacted to withdrawal of age relaxation to the youth of J & K UT in the Civil Service examinations and said this is the worst kind of shock and injustice to the educated youth post disbanding of the State into two Union Territory.
Strongly reacting to the development, JKPCC chief spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma said that the youth of Jammu and Kashmir has been availing age concessions for the last three decades, in view of the disturbed conditions prevailing here and that was the biggest gift of previous Governments to help the youth of J&K to compete with the youth of the entire country. With the withdrawal of age relaxation ,the major chunk of youth of J&K would miss the opportunities to get a chance to reach to the coveted positions in the services.
He regretted this has happened at a time when the DoPT is headed by a Minister from Jammu who was required to persuade the Government of India to keep the benefit continued in view of prevailing disturbed situations here.
“The youth of general category as well as those from reserved categories would be deprived of the benefit of age relaxation and it would result into great injustice to the deserving youth of Jammu and Kashmir”, he said.
He further said that one after another shocker is being given by the BJP Government to the youth which shows that BJP only sheds crocodile tears for the educated youth but their policies were purely anti youth. The youth of the J&K would not tolerate this attitude of the Central Government and would rise against these moves of the BJP Government,
