SAMBA, May 7: Excise Department has sealed a wine shop here today after its stock was not found up to the mark.
According to the reports, acting over the complaints regarding sale of liquor illegally, the Excise Department started checking of stock of wine shops and bars across the Samba district.
During checking, the stock of the ‘Saki Wine Shop’ near vegetable market in main town Samba was not found up to the mark and accordingly it was sealed.
While talking to media persons, ETO Samba Suraj Prakash Lochan said that the drive to check the stock of the wine shops and bars has been initiated across the Jammu Province.
During checking, the sleuths of Excise Department today found the stock of ‘Saki Wine Shop’ not up to the mark and accordingly sealed it, he added.
There are around 7 wine shops in Samba district, whose stock is to be checked, Lochan maintained.
